  2. Caresoft was founded in 1994. Since the emergence of Internet as a business communication medium, we have leveraged the internet to provide India-based offshore development services to organizations worldwide.

  4. Caresoft has its Offshore Development Center in Bhopal in Central India. Bhopal is well-connected to the world and is World renowned for its technically qualified personnel.

  9. Do you take fixed price contracts?
  10. Yes. A fair number of our projects are fixed price contracts whereby the client is protected from cost escalations. We also work on per-hour basis and also have a unique Dedicated Development Center on offer for your immediate requirement.

  11. What are your payment terms? Top
  12. For Fixed Price Contracts:
    Advance: 25%
    Early-Proof of Concept: 25%
    Beta Release – 15%
    At Sign Off: 35%

    For time-and-material projects and Dedicated Development Centers
    Fortnightly/ Monthly
    We also agree to Milestone-based payment schedules on our Fixed Price projects.

  13. How do we pay you?
  14. We accept cheques and wire transfers based on your convenience.

  15. Are there taxes involved?
  16. As it stands now, there are no taxes involved.

  17. What's the minimum size of projects you undertake? Top
  18. We take all sizes of projects once we are committed to a client.

  19. What are your rates?
  20. Our rates for offshore developers range from USD 20-30/hour depending upon skills required, time-line, project nature etc. Our rates for On-site coordinators are very competitive and depend upon expertise required.

  21. Your rates are low! Is there a catch somewhere?
  22. We can offer these rates because we operate from India, where the living costs are far lower than most of the Western economies. India has an abundance of highly qualified software engineers and architects experienced in providing development services to the international market. Both these factors make our rates viable and practical.

  23. Are your people certified?
  24. Our people are certified in relevant Sun, Microsoft and IBM Technologies.

  25. How do you ensure quality? Top
  26. We have processes in place to ensure that quality is maintained at every single step of the development process. These processes are derived from industry standard practices and have been fine-tuned to meet the unique requirements of remote development.

  28. Yes. We can provide both Client as well as work references.

  29. How do you assure confidentiality?
  30. We sign NDAs and Confidentiality agreements with our clients.

  31. How do you start a project?
  32. We form an "On-site Project Coordination Team". This team is based here in the USA. This team will be your point of contact throughout the project life cycle. This team will meet with you face-to-face, and analyze your requirements. Based upon initial requirement analysis, we will develop detailed design documents and prepare a prototype. Upon your approval of the prototype, we will move forward with the actual software development.

  33. How do we keep abreast of the progress of the project?Top
  34. A regular Project Status Report will be presented to you. Over and above that, regular meetings with the On-site Project Coordination Team and teleconferences with offshore team are held. The developed code is replicated/updated to your servers at regular intervals. This way, you get to review the progress of work even on a daily basis.
    Our on-site team of Project Coordinators, Technical Leads and Customer Relationship Managers are available to you on a 24X7 basis. This on-site team will meet with you on a regular basis and demonstrate you the software as it goes through various stages of development.

  35. How do you implement the software?
  36. Our On-site Project Coordination team will implement the software for you.

  37. Do you provide post-implementation support?
  38. Yes, we provide complete post-implementation support for all our support developments.

  41. Can you set up an exclusive development team for us in India?
  42. If you expect a steady flow of work using consistent programming languages and operating systems, it may be ideal to have Caresoft set up an offshore team dedicated exclusively to your company.

    These contracts are generally for a period of 1 year or more.
